The 13th World Robot Olympiad (WRO), an annual robotics competition for students where participants will be presenting ideas on problem solving through the use of robots, is going to be held in Greater Noida.

The competition is being organized jointly by the India STEM Foundation and the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) under the Ministry of Culture.

The theme for the competition is “Rap the Scrap”, where students would showcase solutions to reduce, manage and recycle waste using robotics technology.

Over 2,000 participants from 55 countries are taking part in the international championship.

The event is taking place in Greater Noida on November 26 and 27 at the India Expo Centre.

A total of 245 teams from India will be presenting 60 models at the international competition.

Spread across four categories, student teams participate in the Regular Category, Open Category, WRO Football and the Advance Robotics Challenge.  However, teams are not permitted to participate in more than one category.

The event will be held from 10 am to 5 pm.
