Top companies, including the Tata Group, HUL and Goldman Sachs, have participated in the annual campus placement programme at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT).

IIFT, in a statement, said that there is “a remarkable increase” in the offers by leading recruiters this year.

“The top brands that dominated the placement season at IIFT this year include HUL, ITC, Goldman Sachs, Nestle, Shell, GE, Deloitte, Google, Amazon and Citibank,” it said.

The institute saw a good turnout in its summer placements, with 288 students of MBA (International Business) 2016-18 batch clinching the best of brands from the industry.

The Tata group (Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Titan, Tata International and TCS) made a total of 16 offers.

The institute was set up by the government to help professionalise the country’s foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources, generating, analysing and disseminating data and conducting research.
