The Directorate of Medical Education on Tuesday announced that Tamilnadu MBBS admissions application form to be issued from May 9th, 2016 onwards from 20 of the govt medical colleges.
Students can download the application from the website – tnhealth.org. Applications will be issued or can be downloaded till 5pm on May 26.
Students should send filled-in mbbs application form on or before May 27th, 2016 , 5.00 PM .
The expected date for the declaration of merit list is June 15 following which the first phase will kick-start in July. Classes will commence on August 1.
A total number of 2,655 seats are available across the 20 government medical colleges.
- State quota – 2,257 seats
- All-India quota – 398 seats (15%)
Similarly, the sanctioned strength in eight self-financing colleges is 1,010 seats of which 595 seats are up for grabs under the state quota while 65 of the sanctioned 100 seats under ESIC Medical College, Chennai, will be available under state quota.
