Luqmaan Patel, an Indian-origin student from the UK, has developed a drone to help victims of natural disasters.
After a natural disaster, it can take up to 72 hours to rebuild damaged communication infrastructure, thus delaying rescue and evacuation efforts.
The drone, called ‘Exigency’, aims to bridge this gap by setting up an immediate response system and facilitating communication.
