Power Minister Piyush Goyal emphasized on the need of better vocational education for the India Youth.
Goyal participating in a panel discussion, emphasized on the need of vocational education for the youth to “inculcate entrepreneurial temper them as the country charts its course as one of the fastest emerging economies”.
This discussion was centred on a book, “The World in 2050” that talks about the long term perspective of the economic and social outlook; the Minister then added the importance of vocational education for skill development and handling the problem of unemployment.
Development of smart cities in the country will have to be customised to the Indian context while leveraging on the economies of scale to make the requisite technology affordable, he added.
