The annual technical summit of the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IITGN), Amalthea 2016, will focus on the entrepreneurial side of school students.

The summit will host an event called ‘Innovent’ in which students from various schools will present technology based entrepreneurial ideas.

The theme of the seventh edition of the summit is ‘Technologizing Challenges’.  The two day event will begin from October 22 this year.

The competition will be open to all school students.  The applications forms for the event can be downloaded from the website of Amalthea.

The participating students will have to write an essay of about 500 words on the idea and submit it on or before October 15, 2016 . They will then present the prototypes of those ideas on the day of the event.

A panel of jury will judge the entries on the basis of creativity of the idea, applicability of the product in future, amount of investment required in developing the actual product, and the strategy to market the product.

The best entries will be awarded to recognize the hard work of the students and to motivate them.

The tech summit aims to make its participants look at the challenges in society from the perspectives of technology, this year.

Besides Innovent, Amalthea will also conduct a quizzing event called ‘Qz Warriors’ to test the general knowledge of the school students.

Registration for all events of the summit is now open at amalthea.iitgn.ac.in
