The headmasters of the government and government aided high and higher secondary schools that secured cent percent results in the SSLC and Plus Two public examinations were felicitated by the School Education Department at a function held recently.
District Collector V. Sampath honoured the headmasters and handed over commendation certificates to them, in the presence of Balamurugan, Joint Director of School Education, and A. Gnanagowri, Chief Education Officer.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Balamurugan urged the teachers to teach after understanding the capability of students.
He said that the coaching given to the students in Standards VI to VIII will reflect in SSLC and Plus Two public examinations’ results.
He said that the school education department will monitor the performance of the teachers engaging Standards VI – VIII from the month of August.
Action will be initiated against the teachers who are lacking, he said.
