The International Institute Of Hotel Management (IIHM) is planning to open a new university which will train young guns for the tourism industry. The first of its kind, tourism university the IIHM university will be set up in Kolkata under the West Bengal Private University Act.
An estimated 150 crore investment is in the loop of which 70 crore is already in place for developing cutting-edge state of art facilities in their Salt Lake Electronic Complex, in Sector 5. The institute which already imparts courses on eco-tourism, sustainable tourism and tourism development by a world-class faculty coming from different Southeast Asian countries, will surely change the dynamics of the tourism industry in the near future.
