In a bid to enhance education and boost learning by incorporating different routes to education, a dedicated TV channel showing educational content will soon be launched, Punjab Education Minister Daljit Singh Cheema said on Monday.

The work on Vidya TV is in its last stage and it would be likely to be launched in a month’s time, he said after laying foundation stone of a government school.

It would be a round-the-clock education channel and provide quality content to those preparing for competitive examinations as well as middle school, a release said quoting the minister.

It will begin with focus on higher classes like the X and XII.   But gradually, it will include those from middle school as well.

The channel would present the recorded lectures from the experts on various subjects, he said.
