Bengaluru’s Vanshaj Ravi Jain, a final year BA LLB student from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, bagged the Rhodes Scholarship for 2017.   Along with him, five more Indian students won the coveted scholarship.

He will now be heading to the University of Oxford to study international criminal law.

Vanshaj said that he will soon be travelling to Georgia for the Jean-Pictet Competition of International Humanitarian Law.

“It’s a week-long program and involves activities like interview victims and other practical exercises,” he said.

Dr R Venkata Rao, Vice Chancellor, NLSIU says “Jain is one of our best students. His writing and debating skills are exceptional.  It is a matter of great pride that this year too an NLSIU student has achieved this feat.”
