A recent survey found out that 95 per cent of engineers in the country are not fit to take up jobs. According to a study by employability assessment company Aspiring Minds, only 4.77 per cent candidates can write the correct logic for a programme.

This  reduction in quality of Indian Engineers can be attributed to dearth of good lecturers in colleges.

Finding these abysmal statistics thought-provoking, we had a rather animated discussion on which college is doing better and observed that the colleges with QEEE program are on the right track in bringing in the much needed quality in education. The main advantages identified is its direct to Student Program.

Opinions also indicate that students are faring well with QEEE participating colleges than non participating remote engineering colleges due to dearth of quality teaching faculty.

The QEEE program implemented by IIT Madras for Improving quality of education delivered to students by making available high quality pedagogical resources to all students through technology.
