With the aim of building a foundation for future leaders, US commodities giant Cargill has partnered with the Institute of International Education (IIE) to get new talent ready to take on exciting opportunities and challenges.
For the academic year 2016-2017, 10 scholarships have been awarded to students from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi; IIT Mumbai; and National Institute of Technology, Trichy under the Cargill Global Scholars Programme.
The selected students will receive scholarship funds of up to US$ 2,500 (Rs1.68 lakh) per year for up to two years and will be invited to take part in a series of leadership and enrichment activities designed to enhance their critical thinking skills and equip them with the tools necessary for becoming leaders and decision-makers in their chosen fields.
Students will gain valuable opportunities to observe and learn from business and community leaders in their own countries, a press statement said.
The programme will provide financial support to all the selected students and offer leadership development opportunities through seminars, networking events, and a one-on-one mentoring program.
